  • When you pay for VIP tokens through the official web store using Stripe, Cryptocurrencies, AliPay, WeChat Pay, or other available means.

  • When you purchase VIP tokens through authorized third-party distributors.

  • When you complete or submit any form available on the website, including contact, support, or subscription forms.

  • When you communicate with us through any of the enabled channels (email, messaging, customer service, or contact forms).

  • When you interact with advertisements displayed in the free version of the application.

  • When you set up and manage your user account (If you upgrade to the VIP version of the app) or your billing preferences on the relevant distribution platforms.

  • When you access updates, exclusive content, promotions, or other features within the application or website.

  • VPN service usage data: Technical information generated by the use of the VPN service, such as the connection IP address, the country from which the connection is made, the application version, the device language, the installation source, and technical parameters of the session, is not shared with third parties and is automatically deleted after fourteen (14) days. Session and device information may be stored for an extended period to allow persistent login and enable users to view and manage their connected devices. This policy is applied to ensure user privacy and minimize the retention of sensitive information.

  • Account data (registration and login): For users who upgrade to the VIP version of the application and create an account, we store your email address and encrypted password securely for as long as you keep your account active and wish to continue using our services. You have full control over your information and can delete your account at any time directly from the app, which will result in the deletion of the data linked to that account, unless it is necessary to retain it for limited operational reasons or due to contractual obligations related to payments or incident resolution.

  • Contact and communication data: Data provided through contact forms or communication channels will be kept for as long as necessary to manage and resolve the corresponding query, and will then be deleted or anonymized, unless the user requests its deletion in advance.

  • Analytical and tracking data: Data collected through analysis and tracking tools is kept in aggregate and anonymized form for the period strictly necessary for statistical purposes, service improvement, and optimization of the technical performance of the application and website.

  • Payment data: Transaction identifiers, payment confirmations, and other information relevant to purchase verification and billing are stored for as long as necessary to fulfill administrative, accounting, and dispute resolution purposes. Octohide VPN will respond to all requests within a maximum of thirty (30) calendar days of receipt. In the event that the request is complex or multiple simultaneous requests are received, this period may be extended for an additional period of up to sixty (60) days, with prior notification to the user of the reasons for the extension.

If the user considers that their rights have not been respected or that there has been a breach of data protection rules, they have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority in their country of habitual residence, place of work, or place where the alleged infringement occurred.
